Director, Program Management (Hybrid)
Full time, Tokyo, Japan
For this role, you will be responsible for managing a team of program managers or a major account. You will be accountable for achieving the company’s goals related to client retention, quality service delivery, client and BCD Travel profitability, preferred vendor maximization, and technology implementation.
As a Director, Program Management, you will
- Provide oversight and direction of the team, including performance/activity updates with stakeholders
- Ensure multi-level, strategic client relationships are being established
- Support the development of clients and department budget
- Evaluate and analyze the department budget and provide improvement recommendations to department leadership
- Lead the account management team to develop strategic client business plans to achieve the client and BCD Travel’s objectives
- Explore opportunities to expand client servicing relationships through (regional or global) expansion
- Lead or support the negotiation process for the development of Service Level Agreements
- Negotiate all client contract terms consistent with company approval processes and commercial policy in a timely manner
- Manage the performance of direct reports and downline employees
About you
- Extensive relevant management work experience
- Experience as an account manager in a corporate environment
- Business travel industry experience is preferred
- Computer literate in business software applications
- Excellent written and communication skills in English and Japanese
- Ability and willingness to travel domestically
