About the role

This role is part of the Emergency Planning Team. The team works to make NNC ready for emergencies, by assessing hazards and threats, then making plans and procedures to respond.

The role will play a key part in making North Northamptonshire prepared for emergencies by working within the authority, with communities and other responders for the benefit of our residents.

The role is 37 hours a week, Monday to Friday. After a period of training, you will join an on-call rota that provides 24/7 cover for the council to respond to emergencies that can happen at any time. Although the role is predominantly completed in normal office hours, the nature of the work requires flexibility and a willingness to work unsocial hours as required.

This role is for a full-time permanent contract.
