Are you someone who loves keeping things running smoothly behind the scenes? Do you get a buzz from making sense of complex systems and making sure everything’s in the right place at the right time? If that sounds like you, then this role could be a brilliant fit. As our Environments and Test Manager, you’ll play a key part in shaping how we deliver change across our tech platforms—from POS and e-commerce to core merchandising—making sure everything lands safely, securely, and with confidence.
What you’ll be doing:
This role involves managing non-production environments to support smooth change and release activity across our most critical systems. Leading test strategy and execution across all phases—functional, integration, regression, and user acceptance—you’ll ensure everything aligns with requirements and risk coverage. You’ll handle provisioning, refreshing, and retiring test environments, working closely with infrastructure, application, and third-party teams. You’ll maintain strong configuration and version controls, keeping everything in sync with our release processes. You’ll manage test data using techniques like masking and synthetic generation to stay compliant. You’ll also oversee transitions into test and production environments, checking readiness against clear criteria. Alongside this, you’ll support quality assurance through metrics and reporting, while continuously improving our tools, practices, and automation. You’ll work with vendors and internal teams to make sure services meet SLAs, contracts, and delivery timelines.
What we’re looking for:
- Experience managing test environments and leading large-scale testing across complex systems.
- Strong knowledge of test management, automation, and risk-based planning, with hands-on work across retail, ERP, and API platforms.
- Confident handling environment refreshes, version control, release rehearsals, and test data compliance.
- Familiarity with governance frameworks like COBIT and SFIA-aligned skills across testing, configuration, and release.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with a track record of driving quality and influencing decisions.
