Searcys are looking for an Events Planner to join the team at The HAC.
The HAC is quite unlike any other City venue; a magnificent Grade II listed building set in a five-acre garden hidden away in a quiet location just a couple of minutes walk from Old Street.
The Event Planner is responsible for coordinating and executing events that align with the company’s sales objectives and client needs. Working within the sales department, the Event Planner ensures smooth planning and flawless execution of events, ranging from major corporate events to private functions. They will be a people person with great attention to detail and ability to work with multiple stakeholders.

Job Description
Previous experience of planning high end events is required, inclusive of external supplier coordination, preparation of function sheets, on-site execution, and post-event evaluation, using strong organisational, multitasking, and communication skills to create successful, memorable events and exceed client goals.
Job Type: Full Time 40 hours
Salary: £35,000 Per Annum
Key Responsibilities:

Maintain the events diary (Rendezvous), ensuring accuracy and correct revenue entry

Plan and deliver a wide range of events, liaising with clients and suppliers

Prepare and lead weekly and daily function sheet meetings in line with SOPs

Brief the events team on daily and weekly priorities

Manage client communication, including upselling and special requirements

Actively upsell event facilities to maximise revenue

Host clients on arrival and communicate any on-the-day changes to operations teams

Manage deposits and invoicing in line with contracts and timelines

Work with sales to rebook repeat business and achieve retention targets

Ensure compliance with legal, licensing, health, safety and hygiene requirements

Attend required meetings, training, and undertake other reasonable duties

Represent Searcys professionally at all times
Qualifications
• Proven experience in event planning within a high-end venue, hotel, or catering company Is preferable
• Excellent communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills.
• A passion for delivering exceptional events and client experiences.
• Highly organised, with strong attention to detail and the ability to multitask.
• Knowledge of London’s events and hospitality market is an advantage.
