Salary: *GBP*32,061 per annum rising to *GBP*34,434 per annum 

Basis: Full time 

Package: 37 Hours Per Week, Hybrid Working, Flexitime Scheme, Local Government Pension Scheme, Holiday allowance of 25 days (plus public holidays) on joining.

This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced finance professional to join our Finance department.

About the role

You will support the activities of the Finance Team through the accurate completion of day to day activities within agreed timescales and statutory requirements. In relation to this role there is currently a strong emphasis on

  • completing regular reconciliations including working at trial balance level
  • comfortable working with finance systems
  • administrating financial processes (credit card)
  • knowledge of accounts payable and receivable
  • good with excel.

About you

The successful candidate will bring extensive experience of working within a finance office environment, assisting with month end and year end activities to ensure timely close off of accounts, and will be flexible in their approach.

You will have:

  • In-depth experience of working within a similar financial environment and use of financial systems, with some post qualification. Work experience to include
  • Bank/ledger reconciliations
  • Accounts Payable
  • Administrating a financial process (eg credit card, templates for monitoring).
  • Qualification as a Member of the Association of Accounting Technicians (MAAT) or equivalent.
  • Ability to work effectively to deadlines and to manage a number of tasks simultaneously and in a logical manner.
  • Ability to work as part of a team and collaborate effectively across the organisation.
  • Ability to effectively communicate financial information to both financial and non-financial audiences.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality.
