Holiday Cottage Cleaner – Mottistone,Mottistone, United Kingdom

We’re looking for a reliable Holiday Cottage Cleaner to prepare our popular holiday cottages across the Isle of Wight to the exceptional standard we are known for. Our 13 cottages range from a 2 sleeper 1970’s studio to a 14 sleeper Farmhouse all in the care of the National Trust. We work together as one team, whether working alone of as part of a larger property team, to deliver a consistent standard across the Isle of Wight and National Trust Holidays country wide. We look forward to welcoming a great team player who takes real pride in doing things properly and making every stay matter.

Work Pattern: You will work 4.5 hours per week. Hours are generally between 10am and 2.30pm on any day Monday to Saturday (including Bank Holidays) Monday, Friday and Saturday being the most common changeover days. Rotas are issued in advance and we try to accommodate other commitments where possible.

Our Cottages are located in all corners of the Isle of Wight and you must be prepared to travel to all of them. Please consider your travel arrangements carefully, as many of our cottages are located in rural areas with limited public transport links.

Internally within the National Trust, you will be known as a ‘Holidays Operation Assistant’.

For this role, you’ll need to complete our online assessment instead of using a C.V. or online application form. This will help us understand more about your strengths and give you more information on the role.

We’d also like you to keep an eye out for anything that’s not as it should be, and report any repairs or odd jobs that need doing. If you need to, you’ll also replace any broken items from the store supplies.

Full Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) is provided for all teams, and extra measures are in place to protect staff.

You can view the full role profile for this role in the document attached. You don’t need to have all the knowledge, skills and experience listed in the role profile; this is just to provide a full picture of what’s possible in this role.

We’d love to hear from you if you’re:

  • focused on giving great service to everyone you meet
  • a team player, but also happy to work on your own initiative
  • well-organised and adaptable
