    Job Description

    We are looking for a Store Team Leader to join the team at The Science Museum.

    As a Store Team Leader, you will lead and support the day-to-day operation of our cafés and restaurants, providing a friendly, high-quality catering and hospitality service across the Science Museum. You will lead by example, motivating the team while performing a variety of practical tasks associated with food production and service, ensuring an excellent visitor experience at all times.

    Job Type: Full Time – 30 Hours

    Hourly Rate: £13.50ph 

    Key Responsibilities

    • Deliver catering and hospitality services across multiple locations on site

    • Lead, support and treat team members with respect, setting a positive example

    • Be visible and approachable during service periods, ensuring customer expectations are consistently exceeded

    • Provide a friendly, efficient and hygienic service to all customers

    • Ensure prompt service, high standards of presentation and fully stocked service areas

    • Oversee goods receipt, stock control and stock rotation of deliveries

    • Maintain clean, safe and tidy store, kitchen and service areas at all times

    • Support team members across kitchen and front-of-house as required to deliver an efficient service

    • Ensure strict adherence to food safety, health & safety and environmental standards

    • Attend required training and rigorously follow cleaning schedules

    • To carry out regular checks of the business centre and training academy areas for maintenance, housekeeping and other health and safety issues. Report to the line manager
    • To ensure in house accounting policies are adhered to and monitor food and beverage control, including performing stock take
