Internal Auditor – Portlaoise
We are seeking an Internal Auditor with a technical background to join our growing team to conduct audits to evaluate and improve our organization’s safety policies, procedures, and compliance with regulations.
This role would suit someone with a background in Engineering, Logistics, Production Management or H&S looking for the next step in their career, that will develop a broad set of skills within this unique industry.
Key Responsibilities
- Planning and executing audits to assess compliance with health and safety regulations, company policies and industry standards.
- Identifying risks and non-compliance, evaluate their potential impact, and recommend measures to mitigate them.
- Reporting and analysis, analyse data to identify trends, create comprehensive audit reports detailing findings and deficiencies, and present these to management.
- Monitoring the implementation of corrective actions from previous audits to ensure continuous improvement.
- Provide training and advice to staff and management on safety procedures and best practices
Skills, Knowledge and Expertise
- A degree in a safety-related field, experience in auditing or OHS, and knowledge of relevant safety standards such as ISO 45001.
- Appetite to take ownership
- Strong Health and Safety Awareness
- Strong practical and energetic approach to every task
- Excellent communication skill, verbal and written
- Strong IT Capabilities, Word, Excel, ERP and Finance packages
- DGSA qualification or knowledge of the carriage of dangerous good by road would be an advantage.
- Must have a full, clean, driving licence.
