IKEA Gateshead are looking to welcome a Kitchen Production Assistant’s to join our delightful and hardworking team. This is a fast-paced role for someone who is passionate about serving simple, good-quality food. As a Kitchen Production Assistant, you will support in producing our meals in our busy customer restaurant – including our meatballs and hot dishes! If you thrive in a fast-paced and team-focused environment, this role will allow you to experience our wonderful everyday. WHAT WE OFFER • Start date of employment will be Sunday 9th August.• Competitive hourly rate of £13.45 per hour.• 16, 20 and 24 Hour contracts working 4/5 days per week including 3 out of 4 weekends. You enjoy working in a busy role, where you will be multi-tasking and working to deadlines.• Be self-reliant and motivated, ready to work independently and as part of our team.• Ability to remain organised and detail-orientated, even when things get busy. WHAT YOU’LL BE DOING DAY TO DAY • You will be preparing and making meals using our ovens and kitchen equipment to offer a taste of Sweden to our customers and co-workers.• The kitchen is a safety-first, fast-paced environment that requires attention to detail for all things safety as well as efficient multi-tasking to ensure IKEA remains a safe place for people to shop, work and have fun. • Preparing for the next day’s trade, as well as managing waste and working in a sustainable and cost-conscious way.• Following a cleaning schedule and making sure the cleanliness of the kitchen is to a high standard.
