The Role
Why This Role Matters
This is a pivotal role in ensuring financial integrity and operational success. You’ll oversee critical processes, provide actionable insights, and support leadership in making informed decisions. Your work will influence everything from compliance and budgeting to continuous improvement initiatives.
What You’ll Do
- Oversee month-end close, daily and weekly reporting
- Manage general ledger, fixed assets, and inventory responsibilities
- Management of day to day finance operations including a small experienced team
- Lead team meetings and annual performance reviews
- Support budget preparation and central returns (PSA, P11D, R&D Claims)
- Ensure compliance and assist with audits
- Review and approve purchase orders and payroll checks
- Conduct variance analysis and provide cost centre reporting
- Drive improvements in financial processes and internal controls
- Collaborate with operational teams to provide financial insight for decision-making
What We’re Looking For
- Strong management accounting experience in a large organisation
- Professional accounting qualification or finalist (CIMA/ACA/ACCA)
- Leadership skills with a firm, fair approach
- Tech-savvy with experience in SAP, HFM and advanced Excel
- Excellent communication, problem-solving, and organisational abilities
