We have an exciting opportunity for a Merchandising Manager to join our toys team. This is a highly dynamic category looking after the largest toys brands in the market such as Barbie and Squishmallows. This role covers Branded Toys covering the Fashion Doll, Creative and Collectable markets.

You’ll work closely with the Buyer to generate range plans that deliver a customer-focused and commercial product offer. You will also focus on improving our sales, profit, availability and inventory performance.

What you’ll be responsible for:

•Along with the Buyers, take ownership of delivering the category P&L
•Trading and planning within your category
•Planning and implementing exit strategies while minimising unplanned markdown
•Carrying out in-depth range and promotional planning, analysing historic performance and influencing our pricing propositions
•Driving appropriate buy volumes through effective forecasting
•Providing the appropriate level of analysis during a specific season or promotion
•Reacting to changes and capturing your findings to inform our future activities
•This is a fast paced role and the ability to switch between longer term strategy and immediate trading priorities is essential

About you:

You’ll have –
•A proven track record in a similar merchandising/ merchandise planning role.

•Results focussed and commercial acumen

•Strong analytical and Excel skills
•Great attention to detail and clarity of thinking
•Strong planning, prioritising and organisational skills
•Ability to work at a fast pace and under pressure
•Ability to influence and build strong working relationships
•Strong communication/ influencing skills to manage key stakeholders
•Flair for solving problems and making decisions

•Willingness to take calculated risks on product and innovation
