Salary: €40,795.00
Role based: Cork, Ireland
Contract type: Permanent
Working hours: Monday to Friday from 8:30am to 5:00pm.
You must have a full Irish Driving Licence

We are seeking a Multi-Skilled Operative to join the Portakabin Ireland team in Cork.

The successful candidate will have Slinger/Signaller or carpentry operational experience and will assist with the day-to-day activities of the Operations Department, including the refurbishment, fitting out, and installation of hire and sales units, as well as small projects and occasional maintenance calls to customer sites. This role ensures that all hire fleet and sales units are properly maintained, repaired, and cleaned.

In this role you will be required to:

• Loading and off-loading, moving cabins
• Painting and decorating hire fleet (painting experience).
• Fit and replace doors and windows, Build partitions as per drawings, Repair walls and floors (Carpentry experience).
• Maintain a safe, organised and compliant working environment, in line with health, safety and environmental standards.
• Carry out refurbishment, fit-out and installation activities in line with technical specifications, SOPs, RAMS and company standards, ensuring work is completed safely and to the required quality supporting on-time and cost-effective delivery for customers.
• Apply trade skills and experience to complete tasks independently, solving problems where possible and escalating issues when required to maintain progress.
• Work to agreed refurbishment and fit-out timescales, contributing to cost-effective and efficient project delivery.
• Collaborate with colleagues across the team, supporting activities outside own trade or expertise where qualified or experienced to do so.

Our Ideal Candidate

Experience and practical skills are gained within a specific trade:
***Operational experience in carpentry***
***Practical operational experience in slinger/signaller operation***

• Practical operational experience potentially within a construction environment
• Practical operational experience in painting.
• Driving licence.
• Practical skills are developed through technical training combined with supervised hands-on application.
• Industry recognised trade qualification (e.g. NVQ Level 3 or equivalent).
• Working knowledge of site, yard, refurbishment and fit-out practices, including safe systems of work.
• Ability to read and interpret technical documentation such as Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), Risk Assessments and Method Statements.
• Proven ability to apply trade skills independently to deliver safe, efficient and high-quality outcomes.
