Overview

We have an exciting role on offer within our Prevention and Partnership service as a Occupational Therapist.

This post is to focus on a prevention and strength-based approach for people living within Middlesbrough who are requesting support from social care, often for the first time, alongside out social work colleagues.

We are seeking OTs who are highly motivated with excellent communication and organisational skills to work as part of the Integrated Occupational Therapy service.

Applicant must be able to work as part of a team and on your own, frequently using your own initiative.

To be successful in this role you need to hold a degree or postgraduate diploma in Occupational Therapy. You will also need to be registered to practice in the UK as a Occupational Therapist by the HCPC.

You will also need a full UK driving License and proof of business insurance.

You will work with a wide multidisciplinary team and be involved with people with a range of multiple medical, social, and emotional needs. Continuing professional development is actively encouraged and regular support and supervision is available within the team. Participation in service developments is also expected, for which there is excellent support available. The role will be community based across Middlesbrough and the post will include carrying out assessments with people in their own homes, therefore having access to transport is essential.
