Overview
We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Revenues & Centralised Collection Services Operations Manager to lead and manage day-to-day operations of our department.
This is a key leadership role responsible for ensuring the effective delivery of services related to council tax, and other Council income streams and collection.
You will oversee operational performance, drive continuous improvement, and ensure compliance with relevant legislation and policies.
The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in shaping service deliver, enhancing customer experience, and supporting strategic objectives.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage the Revenues and Centralised Collection Services, ensuring high performance and service standards.
- Oversee the administration and collection of council tax, and other Council revenues.
- Monitor and improve operational processes to ensure efficiency and effectiveness.
- Ensure compliance with statutory requirements and internal policies.
- Develop and maintain strong working relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
- Analyse data and performance metrics to inform decision-making and service improvements.
- Support the implementation of digital solutions and transformation initiatives.
About You:
- Proven experience in revenues management or a similar operational leadership role.
- Strong understanding of local government finance, particularly council tax and business rates.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to manage competing priorities and deliver results under pressure.
- Proficient in using IT systems and data analysis tools.
- Commitment to continuous improvement and customer-focused service delivery.

Salary: £43,149 – 48,738 (depending on experience)
