Planning and Performance Manager – London

The Role
We are seeking a Planning and Performance Manager to play a key role in driving forward the necessary improvements in planning and performance to enable Ravensbourne to deliver its ambitious mission. Working closely with the Director of Strategic Planning, you will ensure that Ravensbourne’s strategic ambitions are translated into robust plans and measurable targets through leading an integrated planning process which incorporates academic, operational, people and infrastructure planning. This will include responsibility for student number planning. You will be a key partner for academic schools and departments, working collaboratively with them on strategic alignment and prioritisation, objective setting, performance monitoring and horizon scanning
This role provides an opportunity to influence the approach to planning in an exciting, growing University by providing evidence-based insights to shape strategic decision-making and performance monitoring frameworks. You will be a reliable source of data-driven insight that has been translated into meaningful options and recommendations.
You will also implement the University's institutional performance framework, providing insightful commentary and recommendations to the Executive and to the Board. By benchmarking our performance against the wider sector, you will identify critical risks and emerging opportunities for growth, ensuring our planning remains agile and impactful.
The Candidate
We're looking for someone who has experience in strategic planning or data analysis in a Higher Education setting, who is able to both produce insightful analysis and engage with and influence the decisions of senior leadership. You will have a good understanding of what effective planning and prioritisation can look like within a University, but also recognise the importance of agility and responsiveness in a changing environment. This will depend on your strong understanding of the sector context and the appropriate data sources across multiple areas of University life, including the whole student lifecycle. You will have the necessary expertise to to implement performance frameworks, such as KPIs or balanced scorecards.
You will be a confident communicator who can translate complex information into compelling narratives for senior stakeholders. You will be comfortable in a highly collaborative environment, building effective relationships across academic and professional services departments to ensure every strategic decision is informed by data and has a well-thought through plan.

Salary: £46,208 to £52,356 per annum
