The Role
We are seeking a Planning and Performance Officer on a part – time basis to join our Planning and Insights team. You will provide key analysis and reporting to underpin the University’s institutional planning cycle. This role provides an opportunity to influence the approach to planning in an exciting, growing University by providing evidence-based insights to shape strategic decision-making and performance monitoring frameworks. You will be a reliable source of insightful management information, supporting university committees and senior leadership with high-level reports and strategic commentary.
The Planning and Performance Officer will have responsibility for a diverse range of performance monitoring approaches, including KPI frameworks, student survey analysis, graduate outcomes, and institutional effectiveness. By benchmarking our performance against the wider sector, you will identify critical risks and emerging opportunities for growth, ensuring our planning remains agile and impactful.
The Candidate
We're looking for someone who has experience in strategic planning or data analysis in a Higher Education setting. You will also have a strong understanding of the datasets across multiple areas of University life, including the whole student lifecycle. Your will have expertise in implementing performance frameworks, such as KPIs, in order to support an increase in value of reporting and a maturing of our processes.
Beyond technical capability, you will be a confident communicator who can translate complex information into compelling narratives for senior stakeholders. You will be comfortable in a highly collaborative environment, building effective relationships across academic and professional services departments to ensure every strategic decision is informed by data.
This role is offered on a part-time basis for 17.5 hours per week.
