Job title: Ruminant Commercial Director

Location: Europe / CEE region

Package includes: Salary from £80,000, depending on location* plus a benefits package designed to support your wellbeing and reward your impact, including discretionary performance related bonus, mobility healthcare benefits and retirement savings.

Are you a motivated Commercial Director looking for a new opportunity to build on an expanding unique, enzyme-based product portfolio focused on high-performing milking cows? Are you skilled in cultivating partnerships with distributors in the ruminant / dairy markets?

If so, we have an exciting opportunity to join our team! You will unite valuable commercial knowledge with thorough industry experience to pinpoint, engage, and develop the right distribution partners, supporting them in delivering our products to farms and promoting sustainable, profitable growth.

Your responsibilities will include managing existing distributor relationships, expanding new market entry, supporting technical discussions on farm, and ensuring our distributors are equipped to sell our solutions effectively in their local markets. You will work closely with internal teams and distributor sales teams to deliver practical, commercially viable propositions that meet both farmers’ needs and business objectives.

What you’ll be doing:

  • Execute the ruminant commercial strategy to optimise growth, profitability, and market share
  • Manage and grow a global network of distributors, providing commercial and on‑farm support to help them effectively position and sell a unique enzyme-based feed product for milking cows.
  • Increase new business opportunities in Europe, North America and South America, strategically approaching potential distributors and qualifying opportunities to expand our ruminant portfolio and ensure the customer journey cycle is in place.
  • Partner with distributors to plan, set up and follow through with on-farm trials, ensuring robust trial design, data collection, and evaluation.
  • Monitor market developments in milking cow nutrition, distributor performance, and customer feedback to refine commercial strategy, distributor selection, and country prioritisation.
  • Establish a unified culture with distributors by presenting clear benchmarks, supplying regular feedback, and prioritising collaborators who are motivated, resourceful, and dedicated to the product.
  • Provide regular updates and reports to senior leadership on regional performance, including sales, revenue, customer satisfaction, and operational metrics.

What we’re looking for:

  • Commercial experience in the ruminant / dairy sector with extensive experience selling additives or related products for milking cows and delivering commercial results through distributors and direct-to-farm channels.
  • Ability to build relationships with ruminant distributors and farm-focused businesses across multiple countries, with a good understanding of how local markets operate.
  • Solid, practical understanding of dairy cow nutrition and on-farm feeding practices, with the credibility to discuss performance and translate technical benefits into simple, commercial messages.
  • Broad knowledge of the ruminant industry, competitors and product landscape, with the ability to position a unique, enzyme-based product and identify new market opportunities.
  • Experience working closely with distributors and their sales teams to plan, initiate and support farm trials, including training, joint visits and follow-up to convert trials into sustainable business.
  • Effective communication and presentation skills, comfortable engaging with farmers, distributor sales teams and senior stakeholders, and able to adapt style across different cultures and markets.
  • Self-motivated, resilient and able to work remotely with a high degree of self-management, while staying closely connected with a small, international team and aligning with shared commercial priorities.
  • Willingness and ability to travel extensively in high peak seasons across Europe and other key regions to visit distributors, support on-farm trials, attend events and develop new markets.

* Salaries are benchmarked to meet the requirements per country. The salary advertised is a guide for the UK, however we are considering candidates within Central Europe region.
