Salary: £33,015 – £41,137 (depending on experience and qualifications)

Based in the heart of Congleton, Esland’s Daven School is a specialist setting for children and young people with social, emotional, special educational and mental health needs.
About our schools:
- Contributing to the Preparation for Adulthood
curriculum and ensuring all learning is aligned with learners’ Education, Health and Care Plans (EHCPs). - Maintaining an individualised, tailored and pupil-led approach
- Aid in supporting the transition from full time education to higher education/independent living to include support with resources, career skills, social and community interaction and skills for life
- Monitoring pupil progress, identify targets and ensure successful outcomes
- Committing to continued professional development and ensuring that curriculum and regulatory knowledge is kept up to date
- Maintaining a safe, inclusive, and supportive learning environment, ensuring regular interaction with your pupils and providing assessment and feedback as necessary
- Providing a consistent and constructive approach to barriers to learning, such as poor attendance and challenging behaviours
- Working closely with colleagues, families, and external agencies
- Sharing Esland’s vision and values and implementing them in your day to day role
- Promoting safeguarding, pupil well-being and best practice at all times
What we’re looking for:
- A competitive salary between £33,015 and £41,137 reviewed annually

We can offer:
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) and a relevant degree
- Experience of teaching KS4 to KS5 across a range of subjects
- A strong understanding of SEN/SEND/SEMH and demonstrable prior experience of working in this sector
- Knowledge of assessment frameworks and progress tracking
- Excellent behaviour management and inclusive teaching strategies
- Knowledge and prior experience of support post-16 pupils approaching the end of full time education
- An ability to be resilient whilst also maintaining empathy and a supportive approach
- Strong communication and team work skills
