What you’ll be doing
The successful candidate will bringing their excellent design skills and passion for publishing to design market leading covers for our highly successful and commercial Fiction and Non-Fiction publishing, working closely with the publishing teams, as part of our dynamic creative team.
Reporting to the Creative Director, you will work with our editors to develop concepts, commissioning illustrators, freelance designers and photographers where necessary to help you deliver your goals. You will collaborate with your stakeholders, communicating effectively to ensure your work aligns with the editorial team’s strategy and the sales team’s routes to market.
Who we are looking for
An eye for detail is essential, as is a proven track record of successful design work in publishing, as well as a proven ability to work effectively across departments and with editors, authors and artists.
Skills and experience required:
- Delivering creative solutions for the packaging of Headline’s full range of publishing
- Project management
- Briefing external illustrators, photographers and designers
- Understanding of the digital and print production process
- Exceptional Adobe Creative Suite skills
