The Florence Nightingale Faculty of Nursing, Midwifery & Palliative Care (NMPC) is based in the heart of central and south London. It includes the Cicely Saunders Institute for Palliative Care, Policy & Rehabilitation, the premier Institute for Palliative Care, bringing together clinical, research and education teams.
Our applied clinical and health multidisciplinary research transforms therapies, the healthcare experience and outcomes for patients and those important to them, wherever they are cared for. Our award-winning NMPC education programmes span pre-registration nursing and midwifery, and multidisciplinary post-graduate taught and research programmes.

About the role
The Senior PGR Officer role sits in the Florence Nightingale Faculty of Nursing, Midwifery & Palliative Care Postgraduate Research team, which provides support for PGR students and their supervisors across our 4 research divisions: Care in Long Term Conditions, Cicely Saunders Institute, Digital Health and Applied Technologies and Methodologies. This is an exciting opportunity for someone who is interested in a career in higher education and/or research environment.
The Senior PGR Officer role focuses on providing administrative support for future researchers as they work towards their PhDs, ensuring consistent management and delivery of research-degree provision.
The role is varied, and you will undertake a range of administrative duties, including supporting the student lifecycle processes from pre-enrolment activities through to induction and registration to graduation and beyond. You’ll be utilising systems and databases such as student records systems, virtual learning environments and financial reporting systems in accordance with best practice, ensuring consistency of data, and identify and resolving issues.
You will work closely with both academic and professional services colleagues within the faculty and across our departments, as well as central university teams in Admissions, Registry Services, and the King’s Doctoral College.
This is a full-time post (35 hours per week), and you will be offered an indefinite contract.

Location: Hybrid – minimum of 2 days on campus James Clerk Maxwell Building, Waterloo Campus and at Cicely Saunders Institute, Denmark Hill every 4-6 weeks approximately.
