We have an exciting role on offer within our Transport and Infrastructure as a Street Lighting Engineer.

About Us

A fantastic opportunity has arisen for an experienced Street Lighting Engineer to join our team in Highways. The successful candidate will be responsible for installing and maintaining public lighting to ensure the effective and efficient illumination of roadways, pathways and public spaces.

To be successful in this role you need undertake relevant training that is deemed necessary to meet the duties and responsibilities of the post.

Previous experience of working within the street lighting industry is essential.

A full current UK driving licence is required for this post.

You will have a responsibility for leading a team of operatives to investigate and resolve street lighting faults across our network, this will include identifying areas that require improvement or modification. You should be able to demonstrate excellent communication and customer service skills, be organised and able to manage your time to respond to the demands of the service. In this role you will be required to assist other service areas, developers and third parties on any lighting enquiries. You will also need experience of budget management, procurement and tender processes.

Salary: £39,152 – £40,777
