About the role

Cambridge Accommodation Services is based in central Cambridge and supports tenants with learning disabilities in a supported living, residential and respite settings. Ā 

The role of a Support Worker is to work within a staff team of Support Workers to support and empower adults with a learning disability to enhance the quality of their life, maximise potential and to continue to promote and develop independence skills within their home and in the community.

About you

You will have previous experience of supporting a person with a disability and a qualification in Health and Social Care or similar at Level 2 or above.

You will have excellent communication skills and IT skills as well as a proficient level of written and spoken English for the purposes of case recording and to enable you to work towards the Level 3 qualification in Health and Social Care if you do not already hold this qualification.

You will also need the ability to demonstrate awareness and understanding of equality, diversity and inclusion, and the Mental Capacity Act as well as the need for safety and confidentiality in the role.
