We have a fantastic opportunity for an enthusiastic and compassionate Support Worker working a minimum of 37.5 hours per week (some of which will be unsocial) to join our team based at our hostel Service in Coventry on a permanent basis. Murray Lodge is a hostel that provides housing and tenancy services for male ex-offenders. This post may include some travel, and overnight stops can be expected. You will also be included in the on-call rota outside of shift hours.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • To key work and support clients with the Service, acting as the key worker to designated clients under MAPPA arrangements.
  • To take an active role in the assessment and management of risk including the operation of physical and situational security measures to control the level of risk posed to the client, the public, staff and other clients and liaising with other stakeholders as appropriate.
  • To regularly fully utilise the Trust ‘Client File’ with designated clients to ensure that they are supported and empowered to achieve appropriate outcomes.
  • Supervise and monitor the behaviour of clients and to ensure they comply with any statutory, occupancy agreements and house rules.
  • To support the arrival and departure of clients
