About the team and the role
Gloucestershire Employment and Skills Hub offers a one-stop source of information, advice, guidance and support around employment and skills. Working with a range of partners and employers in localities across Gloucestershire the Hub delivers 1:1 support through a number of programmes for people with barriers to sustaining or retaining work, as well as advice and signposting for any resident looking for help.
We are looking for a person who has experience teaching in community groups, adult education, the workplace or further education settings. You will develop and deliver high quality programmes of learning in a range of settings and localities to secure positive outcomes for participants of the Connect to Work provision within the wider Employment and Skills Hub.
You will be part of a team that is vibrant and diverse, so a passion for inclusive employment will be essential. This is an exciting role, and your opportunity to have a substantial influence on the shape and delivery of the participant journey.
About You
You will have demonstrable experience of creating bespoke learning programmes relevant to the needs of specific partners, stakeholders, participants or groups. Your communication skills will provide you with the ability to develop a range of close links with partnerships; including other GCC teams, welfare to work providers and employers; with the aim of increasing skills base, knowledge and the opportunities available.
Experience of working with a fidelity model e.g.: supported employment (SEQF) or Individual Placement and Support (IPS) is desirable but not essential as full training will be given. You must be customer focussed and ideally have knowledge of employment policies, procedures and welfare services; including the ability to develop your understanding of local labour-market demographics; enabling you to work with local employers to match their needs to the abilities of individuals.
Whilst you don’t need to hold a formal teaching qualification, you must have an English and maths qualification equivalent to a level 2.
If you meet the criteria and are enthusiastic, self-motivated and able to build effective relationships, then apply today. This is a fantastic opportunity to positively contribute to maximising independence of people in the community; through offering guidance and support.
We offer a supportive, well-established team environment and regular ongoing training and supervision.
