The Role: Vehicle Preparation Assistant

Salary: £12.35 per hour + bonus

Location: Sheffield

Contract Type: Permanent

Hours: 42.5 hours, 5 days out of 7 on a rota – weekend working will be required.

As a Vehicle Preparation Assistant, you’ll play a key role in ensuring our vehicles are prepared to Motorpoint’s high standards before they’re handed over to customers or displayed on site. You’ll support the wider preparation team by carrying out inspections, assisting with reconditioning, and ensuring vehicles are presented at their best.

What will you be getting up to?

  • Perform daily inspections for damage, verify vehicle specs and service history
  • Assist with vehicle reconditioning and valeting for customer collection and display
  • Photograph vehicles to company standards for marketing and records
  • Conduct vehicle check-ins in all weather conditions
  • Handle personal data in line with GDPR requirements
  • Support vehicle movements on-site and off-site
  • Liaise with drivers and transporters, resolving challenges professionally
  • Carry out any other ad hoc tasks as required

What do we need from you?

  • A full UK driving licence (essential)
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Motivation to work to tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong attention to detail and pride in high standards of cleanliness and presentation
  • Ability to remain calm under pressure with a proactive, problem-solving mindset
  • Willingness to support other sites when needed
