IKEA Milton Keynes are looking to welcome Warehouse operatives to join our hard-working fulfilment team. A Warehouse Operative at IKEA is a hands-on role at the heart of the store’s operations, helping to create a smooth and positive experience for customers. It’s a fast-paced position that requires teamwork, flexibility, and a proactive approach, with regular manual handling and physical activity throughout the day.WHAT WE OFFER • Start Date of employment will be: 15th November• Competitive hourly rate of £14.15 per hour + an additional £2.25 for hours worked between 4am and 6am.• 18hr contract working 3 x 6hr shifts 30hr contract working 5 x 6hr shifts 32hr contract working 5 days over 7Shifts will be scheduled between the hours of 4am and 21.30pm all contracts will receive every 4th weekend off• We can discuss flexibility to match your life and our business needs during the interview. Full Benefit List https://www.ikea.com/gb/en/this-is-ikea/work-with-us/why-work-with-us-because-a-job-with-us-is-so-much-more-than-a-job-pub1969c310/ WHAT YOU’LL NEED TO HAVE • Previous warehouse experience is beneficial but not essential, all you will need is the motivation to make things happen in a fast-paced environment. • Ability to prioritise and organise your workload swiftly and with attention to detail. • Proven experience in utilising technical equipment to enhance productivity and efficiency. • Ensure you are prepared to initiate tasks on your own initiative and to participate actively in group efforts.• You must be over the age of 18 years old.WHAT YOU’LL BE DOING DAY TO DAY • You will ensure products are available for customers by carrying out order picking, replenishing stock throughout the store, and receiving incoming deliveries it also involves assisting customers in the Self-Serve Warehouse with locating and collecting their products, while maintaining a safe, efficient, and well-organised warehouse environment. • This role involves regular heavy lifting and manual handling of packages, ideally candidates would be physically fit and capable of working in a fast-paced warehouse environment while safely handling products of varying sizes and weights.• Working with or around heavy machinery, such as, Forklift trucks, counterbalance, pump trucks, to safely and efficiently transport heavy goods within the warehouse.
