Job Description

The Account Manager is the hub of any account. The impresario who brings it all together. The heart with which all work flows through. You are the client’s day-to-day partner and the team’s cheerleader. You think ahead; spotting problems before they occur, manage stakeholder expectations and can bring a positive energy that encourages collaboration. 

  We are looking for a dynamic Account Manager, preferably with retail and online commerce (social and media) experience to support clients in the FMCG and telco industries. You will have experience in a client facing role ideally as part of an integrated creative or marketing agency.  You thrive in a fast-paced environment and know how to adapt your approach when working with people from different agency disciplines (Creative, Analytics, Strategy, Client Services, Project Management, Events, Media and Social teams.). You will also have experience working alongside partner agencies and enjoy driving a project forward and building strong, long-lasting relationships with both clients and internal teams. 

Role responsibilities 

  • Manages client projects from beginning to end, ensuring on time and on budget delivery 

  • Reviews and analyses client briefs – works with the relevant disciplines to ask questions, mould the brief and ensure our response is aligned to the original brief  

  • Liaises with any participating agencies on the development of briefs and creative 

  • Fosters strong working relationships with all departments to keep projects on track  

  • Takes responsibility and is proactive and resourceful in order to drive projects forward 

  • Disseminates client feedback on creative and strategy and relays feedback to the relevant teams 

  • Clearly defines and explains creative ideas; evaluates the creative work against the brief 

  • Builds strong relationships with clients, managing expectations and effectively conveying the agency’s point of view 

  • Demonstrates a clear understanding of the client’s business and industry, providing insight to support agency work 

  • Is on top of the finance day to day & has regular meetings with business leads to ensure jobs are reconciled  

  • Works with the team on pitches and proposals and helps spot potential growth opportunities  

  • Ensures contact reports are written and shared with internal stakeholders and clients following meetings 

  • Uses internal and external orchestration and workflow tools to ensure efficient delivery  

  • Guided by Client Services leadership, supports the development of account plans  

  • Shows strong potential to produce a broad range of comms 

Qualifications

  • Previous experience in a client facing role within an agency or similar environment 
  • Experience working with digital channels (social, media, programmatic, online content) and / or in the retail commerce space 

  • Experience with FMCG beauty brands and / or telco clients a distinct advantage 

  • Has a sound understanding of the agency process from brief to delivery with impeccable attention to detail 

  • Organised and loves collaborating as a team and evolving for clients’ needs 

  • Excellent presentation skills with experience selling the agency recommendation to client and great communication skills 

  • Embodies a “can-do attitude” and is seen as constantly positive force on the accounts 

  • Shows curiosity and willingness to constantly evolve and learn – proactively reads and attends trainings, workshops to inspire and add value to our proposition
