Your role at Signature

We’ll need you to bring your compassion and uniqueness to this role.

You’ll be providing direct care to residents supporting and promoting their independence, assist residents with washing, dressing, eating, drinking and supporting residents with their mobility.. 

You will provide practical support and assist residents who are living with dementia to engage in meaningful daily activities.  This will involve encouraging residents to choose to take part in activities during the day which match their interests and joining the residents if possible.  

You’ll develop strong relationships with the individuals you work work, and their families, and support residents to make positive choices about eating well, taking exercise and maintaining good hygiene to enable to resident to maintain and improve their quality of life.

You’ll be respectful of residents’ choices, dignity and independence, always. You’ll also be integral to developing residents Care Plans, which includes being aware of any specialist support needs.

What Signature Offer

  • From £12.50 per hour 
  • Shift times: 07.30-20.00.  Alternate weekends required

A knowledge of dementia and an understanding of person-centred care and how this is reflected within Dementia Care is required along with good written and verbal communication, and some IT skills. An NVQ Level 2 in Health & Social care is a big advantage.
