Overview
We are currently seeking a highly skilled and motivated Deputy Canteen Supervisor to join our friendly team in Wellingborough. As a Deputy Canteen Supervisor, you will be responsible for helping to oversee the daily operations of our staff canteen, ensuring the highest quality of food production, and maintaining a safe and efficient work environment.
Work closely with the Canteen Supervisor in areas such as:
- Manage and supervise kitchen staff
- Oversee and assist with food preparation and ensure that all dishes are prepared according to recipes and quality standards
- Monitor inventory levels and order supplies as needed
- Maintain a clean and organized kitchen area
- Ensure compliance with food safety regulations and maintain proper hygiene practices
- Train new canteen staff members on proper cooking techniques and procedures
Skills relevant for this job
- Extensive knowledge of food preparation techniques and culinary trends
- Excellent organizational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively
- A qualification Level 2 NVQ in Food Hygiene is essential, as well as a knowledge of food safety regulations and best practices
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written

Shift Hours: 29 hours hrs per week (Monday – Friday)
