Full-time, Open ended

 

Hybrid working (with a maximum of 2 days per week working from home).

 

The School of Sport, Exercise and Health Sciences is seeking to recruit a Doctoral Research Officer.

  

Working closely with colleagues from the Doctoral College Office (DCO), the School’s Associate Dean for Research and Innovation (ADR&I) and the Director of Doctoral Programmes (DDP), the postholder will deliver excellent and individualised customer service and manage the day-to-day administration of the School’s provision of postgraduate research/PhDs. This includes PGR recruitment, administration and events to build the doctoral research community within the School.

  

The post requires a highly motivated and pro-active individual, with excellent communication, multi-tasking and organisational skills. Candidates should have experience of working within a busy office environment, ideally within a Higher Education setting, and will be an excellent administrator with strong IT and data analysis skills.

  

The postholder will work dynamically, with 60% of the week spent in our office on the Loughborough campus. They will work closely with our doctoral researcher and academic community to identify issues, pro-actively find solutions and improve lines of communication. This will be achieved, for example, through visiting study spaces, attending events and hosting drop-in sessions.
