Position: Human Resources Officer
Based in Birmingham, with travel to london and south west of England
Up to £35,000 depending on experince
Hybrid role which include company car

Position Overview:
As a Human Resources Officer for Government Services, you will play a pivotal role in supporting the HR function within our Business. You will collaborate with various departments to ensure compliance with HR policies and procedures, provide guidance on employee relations matters, and contribute to the development and implementation of HR initiatives. This role offers an exciting opportunity to make a meaningful impact within a dynamic and fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities:
 
  • Supporting with the delivery of the people strategy including employee engagement, retention, development, and performance 
  • Building capability and people management skills across the sector through coaching, guidance, and training.
  • Supporting with recruitment and onboarding, reward and recognition, employee engagement, performance management, talent management and succession planning.  
  • Leading on HR processes such as large-scale change management including restructuring, mobilisation / demobilisation, and TUPE
  • Working collaboratively with our Employee Relations team to address complex employee relations issues 
  • Supporting local relationships with external trade unions and industry bodies 
  • Supporting due diligence, bids and tender activities, transition and TUPE exercises ensuring effective communication and compliance 
 
Qualifications and Skills:
 
  • Previous experience in a similar HR role
  • Strong understanding of employment law and HR best practices.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build effective working relationships at all levels.
  • Highly organised with strong attention to detail and the ability to prioritize tasks effectively.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office suite and HRIS software.
  • CIPD Level 5 (or equivalent) is preferred, but not essential
