Job Introduction

Main Responsibilities

  • Close engagement with ERP Finance, Business Partnerships and solution partners to maximise relationships to benefit cardfactory.  
  • Working with the Finance Team to understand opportunities / requirements and develop solutions .  
  • Inspiring the business through demonstrations of the possibilities of ERP technologies and its wider capabilities / integration to meet cardfactory ambitions. 
  • Maximising the use of key partnerships and take a configuration first approach within the system vs overly customised. Striving for a vanilla solution wherever possible.  
  • Make configuration changes in response to business need and to ensure system’s operate successfully 
  • Supporting the teams with regression testing of solution, UAT, and training.  Debugging bugs.  
  • Developing and reviewing functional designs, test plans and scripts where applicable.  
  • Identifying opportunities to simplify existing workflows, batch jobs solutions using in-house tools accessible to us removing the dependency / reliance on our third-party suppliers.  
  • Driving innovation such as building, customising and configuring the system.  
  • Go-live and post-live support. 
  • Impact assessing new requests. 
  • Resolving 3rd line support tickets and issues raised via the IT Service Desk in accordance with internal service levels, processes, and procedures. 
  • Flexibility to provide support outside of core business hours to assist in the resolution of high priority issues.  
  • Preparing and representing ERP changes at control boards. 
  • Working with other IT Teams to share knowledge of ERP solutions.  

The Ideal Candidate

  • Proven experience of working as a Business Systems Architect preferably within Retail or a relevant sector. 

  • Strong practical experience of Finance ERP in a retail environment is desirable. 

  • Excellent Communication skills, with the ability to modify messages to technical and non-technical audiences. 

  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving skills with the ability to analyse complex issues, identify root causes, and implement effective solutions. 

  • Working closely with 3rd Parties to develop and support solutions. 

  • Can demonstrate extensive experience in application support for business users. 

  • Experience in a technical role in projects implementing ERP systems (desirable). 

  • Change and Transformation experience (desirable) 

 
Technical Competencies: 

  • Education: A bachelor’s degree in computer science, information technology, software engineering, or a related field. 

  • A minimum of 5 years of experience in a BSA or a related field. 

  • Development experience (any coding language) (desirable)
