An exciting opportunity to join a role central to the Core Business Systems Team at Card Factory, focusing on SAP ERP systems. The team’s responsibility includes aligning the design, configuration, and maintenance of these systems with current and future business requirements. The Business Systems Analyst (BSA) will handle the supply chain aspects of the ERP, collaborating with System Integrators and support partners. They will seek to improve supply chain processes through automation and optimization, working with the broader business to enhance efficiency and customer experience. Additionally, the BSA will engage with stakeholders to drive supply chain innovation and operational excellence. They are also tasked with writing specifications for engineers and providing advanced support, including the production of root cause analyses for any issues.

Job Introduction

Main Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain partnerships with Supply Chain, ERP Finance and stakeholders.
  • Demonstrate ERP technology’s role in achieving Card Factory’s objectives.
  • Favor standard system configurations to enhance efficiency.
  • Execute necessary configuration updates for optimal system performance.
  • Support teams through testing phases, training, and troubleshooting.
  • Design, evaluate, and refine functional workflows and testing procedures.
  • Streamline operations and minimize external dependencies through internal tools.
  • Drive innovation in system building, customisation, and configuration.
  • Ensure comprehensive support throughout the system’s lifecycle.
  • Efficiently address complex support queries within agreed service parameters.
  • Communicate ERP updates and insights with IT departments and governance bodies.
  • Recommend strategic practices for process and system optimisation.

The Ideal Candidate

  • Retail sector Business Systems Architect.
  • Desirable: Supply chain ERP, ERP project involvement, change management.
  • Excellent communication, analytical, and problem-solving.
  • Desirable: Development experience.
  • Bachelor’s in Computer Science/related field.
  • Strong experience in BSA or related role.
  • Adapts to fast-paced, multitasking environments.
  • Systematic problem resolution, strong prioritization.
  • Team-oriented, self-motivated, results-driven.
  • Detail-oriented, independent, and collaborative.
