We are currently looking for an ambitious and enthusiastic Work Place Computing Analyst to join our IT team based in Solihull. The role is hybrid working.

The role ensures the delivery of consistent, appropriate, secure, cost-effective and high quality WPC services to the Business.  
It also provides technical input and analysis to support WPC asset lifecycle including hardware, software, mobile devices, licences, warranties etc from acquisition to disposal. In addition, it provides technical expertise in the WPC landscape including research and development of Standard Operation Environments (SOE), operating systems, client hardware and software versioning.  

Main responsibilities

In this role you’ll:

  • Work as a Subject Matter Expert for relevant WPC scope on business projects in line with business strategy having deep technical knowledge.
  • Build solutions that comply right first time by design; possesses basic understanding of GDPR, SOx and GISP
  • Provide expert second-line support to IT users in line with agreed SLAs
  • Investigate incidents and identifies and mobilises resources required to aid resolution, escalates SLA breaches
  • Act as a Subject Matter Expert in the Change Management process
  • Provide vendor liaison to support service delivery to agreed SLAs 
  • Support the incident root cause analysis process 
  • Support continuous process improvement 
  • Ensure compliance with Internal Control processes and procedures

To be successful in this role you’ll need:

  • To be educated to degree standard or able to demonstrate appropriate significant and relevant experience in a similar role
  • ITIL certified/trained
  • To be accredited by relevant software/hardware vendors (where available)
  • To be an effective communicator to both technical and non-technical audiences
  • To support innovative thinking
  • Developed analysis and problem solving skills
  • Experience of WPC Lifecycle asset management
  • To be results focussed on successful outcomes
  • To be resilient with the ability to  overcome challenges and obstacles to succeed
  • To be persuasive – urge, influence and convince others.
